Spend your day tasting some delicious wines as we make our way through the beautiful Sonoma Valley in one of our vintage VW buses!
Step into one of our vintage VW buses and be transported back in time as you breathe in the nostalgic scent of classic seats and gaze at the retro decor. The Painted Ladies Wine Country Tour will awaken your senses from the start, as you take in the fresh and invigorating scent of the California breeze and gaze at the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Golden Gate Bridge. As you journey north, a refreshing mimosa will tantalize your taste buds with its sweet and tangy flavors, setting the stage for the incredible wines and flavors to come. As we make our way through the stunning Sonoma Valley, the gentle breeze carries the scent of blooming flowers and fresh greenery, while the rolling hills and lush vineyards stretch out before you. At each of the carefully selected award-winning wineries, you’ll be greeted by friendly staff and a warm ambiance. As you sip on some of the region’s finest wines, the flavors dance across your taste buds, each one distinct and full of character. Take a leisurely stroll through the vineyards and capture the stunning views in the Carneros appellation and its picturesque landscape while savoring delicious wines, including Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The boutique Italian family-owned winery is a hidden gem, where you’ll enjoy lunch and a tasting of their delicious Italian varietals, paired perfectly with artisan cheeses, imported salumi, fresh local bread, and a range of other gourmet options, including vegetarian and gluten-free. And satisfy your sweet tooth with a delightful chocolate truffle surprise sourced from a local artisan chocolatier.
At a Certified Organic Winery, explore the intricate wine-making and aging process in a wine cave with the aroma of oak barrels and the sound of wine being poured into glasses echoing through the hallways. And as the tour draws to a close, you may realize that the Painted Ladies Wine Country Tour is not just about the wine, but also about the connections made with your fellow passengers, leaving you with memories of laughter and new friendships that will last long after the tour ends.
Your tour will begin at 9 a.m. from our Union Square area pick up at 427 Post St. or at 9:15 a.m. from our Fisherman’s Wharf Pickup Location (1300 Columbus Ave) as well as optional Hotel pickups within a half mile range of our pickup locations. To start off, we will stop at the Golden Gate Bridge for an opportunity to take some photos and learn some SF history. We will then make our way out to the wine country. Along the way we will learn some San Francisco and Sonoma history as well as some basics around wine tasting.
Must be 21+ or older for wine tasting.
